In Chomoutov area near Nechranicka prehrada (Nechranice Dam) there is Kamencove Jezero (Alum Lake) - European curiosity as there are no live organisms in the lake. Nechranice (1306 hectares) is one of the many lakes in Krusne Hory region. It is an ideal places for yachting and fishing. With a quick phone call in advance, you can visit the yachting club and hire out boats, or you may arrive with your own boat of any class and spend a lovely day at the yachting club.
Nechranice lies 11 km from Zatec on the river Ohre. The Ohre River below the Nechranice Dam is the Mecca of Czech spinning and fly-fishing anglers every year. It is one of the most popular dams for fishing (more about fishing on our fishing page) and due to its beautiful surroundings it is often used for camping.
