The former monastery of the Benedictines of Sázava was established in 1032 by the Duke Oldřich, the first abbot was the hermit Prokop who was later sanctified.

Also recommended to tourists is a visit to the geological museum and the memorial of Antonin Dvorak, which is located in the chateau in Vysoka u Pribrami.
