About the area:
Kolin is a town situated on the Labe river, 60km east of Prague. It has a nice historical square with Baroque facades and Gothic Church of St Barholomew, partly built by Petr Parler and the old Jewish ghetto with synagoge and cemetery. Kolin is the birthplace of the component F.Kmoch and annualy the Kmochuv Festival of brass-band music is held here.
